Grilled Teriyaki Salmon with Caramelized Onion
Yields: 4 servings | Cook Time: 1 hour
Ingredients:
-
1 large onion, julienned
-
2 Tbsp. Butter
-
2 Tbsp. Water
-
1 Side Salmon
-
1 Lemon, sliced
-
¼ c. Gojo Teriyaki Sauce
-
2 Stalks Green Onion, sliced
-
Salt & Pepper, to taste
Directions:
-
Melt butter in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add onion and water to pan and cover with a lid. Cook slowly for about 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until soft and golden brown. Meanwhile, fire up the grill!
-
While the grill is heating, place salmon on heavy duty aluminum foil, making sure you have enough to cover the top. Sprinkle salmon with salt and pepper and brush with Gojo Teriyaki Sauce, place lemon slices and caramelized onions on top. Loosely cover creating a "tent" over the salmon.
-
Place wrapped salmon directly on the grill and cook until desired temp, about 20-30 minutes. Remove, top with green onions, additional teriyaki and enjoy!
Note: This can be baked in the oven! Just preheat to 400ºF, follow steps 1 and 2, and bake for about 20 minutes.
